Obituary: CREVE COEUR -- Rose F. Slusher, 89, of 804 E. Divison, Peoria Heights, formerly of Creve Coeur, died at 11:28 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 1993, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Born Aug. 13, 1904, in Creve Coeur to Joseph B. and Jennie A. Hinthorn Serpette, she married Frank L. Slusher on Feb. 16, 1927, in Peoria. He died May 24, 1985. One brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Charlotte) Mathews of Peoria Heights; and one grandson.
She was a silver polisher in the banquet kitchen at the Hotel Pere Marquette in Peoria for 28 years.
She was a member of Neighborhood House in Peoria, where she was active with the Tuesday and Wednesday Club, Travel Club and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Leonard Martz will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Neighborhood House.
