HENTHORN, Leona May, 71, of Weirton, [WV] passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009, in Weirton Medical Center. She was born May 29, 1938, in Weirton, a daughter of the late Donald and Melda (Faust) Swearingen. Leona retired from Rivendale Nursing Home and was a member of Kings Creek Union Chapel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Henthorn and six brothers.
Surviving are her children, Richard Loy Jr. of Weirton, Ray Loy of Moundsville, Luanna (Sam) Dotson of New Bern, N.C., Llalane Loy of Weirton and Virginia (Frank) Salloka of Hampton, Va.; one sister, Elizabeth Richards of Weirton; two brothers, Robert Swearingen of Mannington, W.Va., and James Swearingen of Enterprise, Ala.; her companion, James Conrad of Weirton; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home. Services will be there Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Darrell Maze officiating. Interment will follow in the Paris Cemetery, Paris, Pa.
