OBITUARY: SUMMERFIELD [OH] --- Jacob H. Carpenter, 82, Summerfield R.D. 1, died at 7 A.M. today (Oct. 22, 1981) at his home following a long illness.

He was born Aug. 22, 1899, in Calais [Monroe Co., OH], the son of the late Henry and Annie Pierce Carpenter.

He was a retired construction worker and farmer, and was a Marion Township trustee for several years.

Mr. Carpenter leaves his wife, Alta; two daughters, Mrs. William (Alberta) Gallagher, Quaker City R.D. 2, Mrs. Girdon (Nova) Stephens, Barnesville R.D. 1; four sons, Edmund Carpenter, Quaker City R.D. 1, Marvin of Canton, Norman of Kenosha, Wis., Randall of Zanesville; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. One son and three brothers are deceased.

Friends may call Brubach Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday. Services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Evangelist Michael Davis officiating. Burial will be Calais Cemetery.

Brunelle, Kenneth

SUMMERFIELD [OH] -- Kenneth Brunelle, 56 formerly of Summerfield, [OH] died unexpectedly on Thursday morning at his home in Falls Church, Va.

He suffered an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow.

Born in Noble County, he was the son of Charle Clifton and Etta Watson Brunelle. A veteran of World War II, he was a government employee in Washington D.C.

He leaves a sister, Mrs. Lorena Twiggs, Zanesville and a brother, Clifton Bernard Brunelle, Mansfield.

The body was arrive at Brubach Funeral Home, Summerfield, Saturday morning and friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday.

Services will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Starling Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Eastern Cemetery.
