HENTHORN, John Joseph, 73, of Wellsburg, W.Va., passed away Friday, April 3, 2009, at Wheeling Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va.
He was born August 3, 1935, at home in Wellsburg, W.Va., son of the late Homer and Virginia L. Lombard Henthorn, Sr.
He was a retired Union Carpenter, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, where he served as an SP3, a member of the Charles Street Church of Christ in Wellsburg, W.Va.
Surviving are: one brother, Homer (Doris) Henthorn, Jr. of Wellsburg, W.Va.; three sisters: Pauline Butler of Wellsburg, W.Va., Beatrice Spencer of Rootstown, Ohio, Shirley (Edward) Graham, of Melbourne, Fla.; many nieces and nephews, Larry, Bruce, Chris, Kim, Debbie, Joe, Ginger, John, Sandy, Tom, Jody and Eddie.
The family wishes to give much gratitude to his many caregivers.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 6, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main St.,Wellsburg, W.Va., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 11a.m., with Bernard Crow, Minister, officiating.
Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, W.Va.
Full Military honors will be held by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
