OBITUARY: B. C. Tennant Dies

Basil C. Tennant, 78, of LaSalle, [CO] died at the Weld County general hospital here [Greeley, Weld Co., CO] at 12:45 a.m. Sunday [22 Feb 1953].  He had been a patient at the hospital eight days.

Mr. Tennant was a retired butcher. Born at Morgantown, [Monongalia Co.,] W.Va., Oct 8, 1874, he had lived at LaSalle six years.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Alice ? [(R. Jameson)] Tennant, and two children: Ralph M. Tennant at LaSalle and Mrs. Grace ? Valentine of Portland, Ore., also a brother, Ross Tennant of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services for B. C. Tennant of LaSalle will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon [25 Feb 1953] from  ...

OBITUARY: 

Arnold H. Tennant, 52, of Pine Bank, RD 1 [Greene Co., PA], died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 9, 1965, in the University Medical Center, Morgantown, [Monongalia Co.,] W. Va.

He was born Aug. 27, 1913, at Pine Bank [Greene Co., PA], a son of the late Charles C. and Ethel Frankenberry Tennant.

Mr. Tennant resided most of his life in the Pine Bank area where he was a member of the Bula Baptist Church. He was a member of UMWA No. 2122 and was employed at the Pursglove No. 15 mine.

He married Irene Headlee, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Ralph Tennant, of Davistown, Franklin Tennant, serving with the US Army in Hawaii, and Robert Tennant, serving with the US Army at Ft. Hood, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Byrd, of Topeka, Kan,; one sister, Dorotha, wife of Roy Wells, of Brownsville; and eight grandchildren.

One daughter, Elaine, is deceased.
