OBITUARY:
Friend Richmond died in Glendale hospital [Glen Dale, Marshall Co., WV] at 6:05 this Saturday morning after a long illness. He was born in [Halls Mills] Wetzel county, July 6, 1877, the son of Nelson and Abbie Siburt Richmond.

Surviving are his wife, Janie Dakan Richmond; four sons, James Floyd, Oren and Robert, all of Wheeling, RD 2 and Elmer at home; one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Hill of eastern Fourth street; 14 grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Rachel Batton of Paden City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Ash Avenue Church of God.

The body is at the Riggs funeral home. It will be taken Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock to the Ash Avenue Church of God, where service will be held at 2:30. Rev Wyatt Weeks, church pastor, will officiate, and interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville.

AKA: Julia Jane Dakan; Janie Dakan in the obituary of her husband; Julia Jane Dakon.

HISTORY:
Daughter of Peter Dakan and Jemima Lemasters. Julia married Friend Richmond in 1909 in Wetzel Co., WV. He predeceased her. Julia was a member of the Ash Avenue Church of God, Moundsville. Surviving are four sons, one daughter, one brother, three sisters, fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

OBITUARY:
Mrs. Julia Jane Dakan Richmond, 75, of 16 Drummond St, Moundsville, died Saturday evening [1 Jan 1966] at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. She was born July 9, 1890, in Wileyville, [Wetzel Co.,] WV, the daughter of the late Peter and Jimima Lemasters Dakan. She was a member of the Ash Avenue Church of God, Moundsville.

Her husband, Friend Richmond, died in 1957.

Surviving are four sons, Rev. James F. of Moundsville, Oren F. and Robert D. both of Glendale Heights, and Elmer , at home; one daughter, Mrs Bertha Hill of Grandview Heights, Moundsville; one brother, James L. of Sonoma, CA, three sisters, Mrs. Edith Harlan of Steelton, WV; and Miss Mary C. Dakan and Mrs. Maude Cacioppo, both of Akron; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Kirby Funeral Home, 118 Grant avenue 7-9 pm this Monday evening.

On Tuesday at 1 pm the remains will be taken to the Ash Avenue Church of God where services will be held at 2 pm with Rev Howard W Rush officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, New Martinsville.
