Obituary: GREEN VALLEY -- Albert J. Hinthorn, 73, of 200 Country Drive, died at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997, in the Pekin Hospital emergency room.
Born Sept. 17, 1923, in Peoria to James A. and Anna Schuck Hinthorn, he married Averil E. Call on Dec. 7, 1942, in East Peoria. She died Aug. 1, 1990, in Green Valley.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce A. Hinthorn of Hanna City; two sons, Albert F. of Pekin and Larry L. of Green Valley; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Burden of Mackinaw and Shirley Baxter of Peoria; and one brother, William of Mission, Texas.
A truck driver, he retired from Bosche Trucking Co. in Peoria in 1982.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 627 and the Teamsters Retirees Club, both in Peoria.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. Ernstfried J. Lang will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
