DUNCAN FALLS [OH] -- Elmer E. "Dewey" McCune, 94, of Zanesville, died Friday (May 3, 1996) at the Muskingum County Home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1901 in Belle Valley, son of the late Thomas and Mary Yoho McCune.
He was a miner for 20 years and worked for 15 years on the highway department.
He attended Ark Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McCune, on Jan. 13, 1990; Also deceased are six brothers, Orville, T.R., Silas, Harry, John Owen and Bill McCune; three sisters, Inez Hannum, Cleo Watson and Freda McCune.
He leaves a son Carl "Bud" McCune of McConnelsville; four daughters, Geraldine Rapp of Canton, Maxine Spillman of Bolivar and Lucille Shook and Donna Dingey, both of Blue Rock; 19 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at Thompson-Feris Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where services will be 11:30 A.M. Monday. Burial will be in Ark Springs Cemetery.
