BYESVILLE [OH] --- Thomas Homer Yoho, 72, retired farmer of Byesville R. D. 1 [OH] died at St. Francis Hospital late Thursday night. The body was removed to Herlan-McGaughy Funeral Home.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. William Yoho, he was born in Noble County [OH] on July 3, 1883. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are his widow, Ethel; a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Williams of Byesville; a son, Herbert Yoho of Gainesville, Fla.; six step-children, Mrs. Martha Berry of Marietta, Mrs. Wanda Hamilton of Byesville R. D. 1, Lewis, David and Richard Wilson, all of Byesville, and Clifford Wilson of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, and seven step-grandchildren.
His parents, three brothers and a sister are deceased.

Yoho, Rosa (Foehrenbach)
Mrs. Rosa Yoho, daughter of Jacob and Lousia Foehrenbach, was born near Woodsfield, Ohio April 13, 1887, and died at Drumright, Oklahoma, Jan 7, 1919 at the age of 31 years, eight months and 24 days.
On December 27, 1904, she was united in marriage to Mr. Mellville Yoho and to this union were born two children, Vada, aged 10 and Ruben aged 7.
Death was the result of an attack of pneumonia. She leaves to mourn her early and sudden death her husband and two children, father and mother, two brothers, Geo W. and Walter M. Foehrenbach, and one sister, Mrs. Clara Buchanan. Also a large number of relatives and friends.
The funeral took place Monday afternoon, January 13, from the residence of her parents. Burial at Buchanan Cemetery. Rev. A.H. Knipping of the Evangelical Church at Woodsfield, conducted the funeral.

ORD [NE] -- Mary I. Johnson, 82, of Ord, [NE] died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord [NE].

NEWCOMERSTOWN [OH] --- Sara J. Pearson, 64, of Newcomerstown, [OH] died Monday (March 24, 2003) at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newcomerstown, following a brief illness.
She was born May 27, 1938, in Cambridge, [OH] daughter of the late Reed and Alice L. (Stone) Yoho.
Mrs. Pearson was a 1956 graduate of Cambridge High School, where she served as class valedictorian. She studied electronics and technical courses following graduation.
She was employed as an auditor in the quality assurance department of NCR in Cambridge, for more than 20 years. She was also employed as an operator for General Telephone in Cambridge, Wilmington and Gallipolis and worked for American General Insurance in Coshocton.
She was a member of the former Westminster Presbyterian (Unity) Church in Cambridge, Newcomerstown Women of the Moose, Chapter 29, and was a social member of Thomas Montgomery Post 431 in Newcomerstown American Legion.
She enjoyed gardening, shopping, reading and working on crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles J. Kail.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Keith G. (Jacqueline) Hultz of Newcomerstown; three sons, David A. Pearson of Parkersburg, W.Va., Steven C. (Jennifer R.) Pearson of Gahanna and John M. (Selena R.) Pearson of West Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Chris Pearson serving with the U.S. Navy in the Dominican Republic, Sara Hultz of Newcomerstown, Jocelyn Miller of West Lafayette, and Steven C. Pearson Jr., Matthew R. Pearson and Kassidy A. Pearson all of Gahanna.

Mrs. Rachel Ann Danford Christopher, 59, died Tuesday morning at 5 o'clock at her home in Mt. Ephraim [OH] following an extended illness lasting several weeks.
Mrs. Christopher was born Nov. 27, 1876, near Mt. Ephraim [OH] the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Stevens Yoho. In 1906 she was united in marriage to Robert Danford, who died Sept. 2, 1918 and on June 2, 1926. she was married E.A. Christopher, who survives. She spent her entire life in the Mt. Ephraim vicinity with the exception of 12 years. when she lived near Caldwell.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Miley, of the home; one brother, John Y. Yoho of Mt. Ephraim; one sister, Mrs. Martha Gregg of Akron, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Mt. Ephraim M.E. Church of which she was a member, by Rev. Herbert Shiltz, of Clarington, a former pastor. Interment will be made in Mt. Ephraim Cemetery.

Peter Yoho -- The subject of this sketch was the second son of a family of nine children of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob and Rachel Yoho, all of whom having preceding him to the great beyond, expect two sisters, Cynthia and Mrs. John Tucker.
He was born near Kennonsburg [OH] on the 24th day of September, 1841 and died about 11:30 A.M., March 4, 1920 at his home on the farm near Mt. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Stevens on December 23, 1869 and to this union were born children, Mary C. having died in infancy. He leaves his death, his wife, one son, John W., Mrs. Martha Gregg of Akron, Mrs. Anna Danford of the home, also three grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.
Well does anyone having had personal acquaintance with Mr. Yoho know that he was a kind and loving husband and father, an honorable and upright individual and of whom all his neighbors held in high esteem, and by his departure the neighbor has lost a citizen with a standard to which many might well be proud to have attained and which will greatly missed, as he was both a contributor to its welfare and to the church as well, and in his life do we find what the world would designate as a home man by his presence, always being being found there expect when duty called him away. But now the friends are brought to say feel as well that.

Yoho, Mrs. Elizabeth
Mrs. Elizabeth Yoho, aged ninety years, widow of Peter Yoho, died last Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Christopher, in Mt. Ephraim, [OH] following an illness from ailments incident to her advanced years.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Christopher, and Mrs. Martha Gregg of Akron. One brother, John W. Yoho of Seneca Township, and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Watts, of Illinois and Mrs. Nancy Ressegger of Bellaire, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at the Christopher home, Tuesday afternoon, and interment was made in the Mt. Ephraim Cemetery.

He was a former employee at Cambridge Mental Health and Developmental Center, attended Cambridge Business College and was a veteran of World War II. He attended Lore City United Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion, Columbus and DAV Chapter 28.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Yoho leaves his wife, Ada Harding Yoho, whom he married Oct. 29, 1947; two sons, Larry L. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Joyce) Mayle of Euclid and Mrs. Sarah Jane Pierson of Newcomerstown; three brothers, Raymond and Aretus, both of Cambridge and Haven of Lore City; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters are deceased.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 P.M. at Thorn Funeral Home, where the Rev. Arthur Williams will conduct the funeral Tuesday at 1 P.M. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery [Cambridge, OH].

Mrs. Daisy Frances Yoho, 62, died Wednesday died [10 Sept. 1947] at 9:30 P.M. at her home at 925 Brown Ave., after an illness lasting five months.
Born Feb. 23, 1885, in Cannonsburg, [OH] she was a daughter of John and Mary Meighen. She was a member of the First Methodist Church here and lived 22 years in Cambridge [OH].
Mrs. Yoho leaves seven children as follows; Mrs. Albert Jones, Wheeling, W.Va.; Reed, Cleveland and Aretus, Mrs. Raymond Jennings, Haven, Mrs. Thomas Cain and Raymond of this city; Two sisters, Mrs. Benjamin Unklesbay and Mrs. John Dingus, of Senecaville; and 13 grandchildren also survive. One daughter and three brothers are deceased.
The body was taken to the Corwin Funeral Home.

Yoho, Alvin H.
Alvin H. Yoho, 86, of Cambridge [OH] died at 9:05 P.M. Saturday [May 1, 1964] at Guernsey Memorial Hospital [Cambridge, OH]. He was born May 2, 1878, son of Samuel and Marian Yoho, and was a retired coal miner. His wife, the former Daisy Meighen, died in 1947.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Jennings and Mrs. Ruth Cain of Cambridge and Mrs. Beulah Jones of Wheeling; four sons, Haven of Lore City, Reed of Akron, Raymond and Aretus of Cambridge; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Samuel Yoho, died at his home near Kennonsburg [OH] last Saturday, [22 Jul 1911] aged sixty-one years.
The deceased is survived by his wife and three sons. The funeral was held Monday, followed by burial in the Kennonsburg Cemetery.
