OBITUARY: Mrs. Mattie Atkinson Phipps, 82, well known resident of the Macksburg, [OH] community and a member of the early families there, died at her home at Macksburg on Wednesday evening following decline.

Mrs. Phipps was the daughter of the late Isaac and Hannah Atkinson. She was born at Macksburg and spent the greater part of her life there. She spent her early girlhood in Marietta, [OH] when the Atkinson home was at Fifth and Montgomery streets. Mrs. Phipps was the last member of the family of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Reba Bailey of Findlay; and one grand daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Akron. The deceased was a member of the Macksburg Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at the Macksburg Methodist Church on Saturday at 2 p.m.
