OBITUARY: Cleetice V. Henthorn
MOUNT VERNON, OH -- Cleetice V. "Clete" Henthorn, 78, of Columbus, [OH], formerly of Cambridge and Mount Vernon, died Tuesday (Feb. 21, 1995) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born June 11, 1916, in Parkersburg, W.Va., son of the late Ellsworth and Ethel Rubel Henthorn.
Mr. Henthorn retired as engineer from the Penn Central Railroad with 35 years of service and was a member of the V&L F&E Lake Division of Penn Central Railroad.
He was a member of First Church of God at Mount Vernon, Elbrook Masters Lodge 634 F&AM of Cleveland, and past patron of Guernsey Chapter 211 Order of Eastern Star, Cambridge, [OH].
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Lynn Henthorn, a son Clinton Vaughn Henthorn, three brothers, Gilbert, Carl and Harrison Henthorn, and a great-granddaughter.
Mr. Henthorn leaves his wife, Thelma Thomas Henthorn; four sons, Lloyd, Garland, Dean Henthorn all of Mount Vernon and Gail Henthorn of Newark; three brothers, Richard, Camden and Warren Henthorn, all of Mount Vernon; 12 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where services will be 10 a.m. Friday with the Revs. Leon Hartwig and Keith Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus.
