OBITUARY: James Q. Butler
James Quince Butler, 52, well-known and very highly respected citizen of Eight Mile Ridge, near Reader, [WV], passed away at his home there on Monday March 20, after an illness of several months.

He was born in Proctor, [WV] on April 9, 1881, and had been a resident of this county all his life. He had been a member of the Church of Christ for twenty-eight years and was active in church work.

Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ at Far, W.Va., on Wednesday, March 22, 1933, in charge of Rev. A.E. Wickham, assisted by Rev. J.E. Ferrebee. Interment in Fox cemetery was in charge of Harry Palmer, Pine Grove, [WV] funeral director.

His his survived by his widow, Mary Ann Butler, five sons, Melvin, Albert, Ester, Peter and Curtis; two daughters, Edith and Alice Butler, of Far; two brothers H.E. Butler and Curtis Butler, of Far; ... sisters, Mrs. Marion Smith, of Proctor; Mrs. Henry Mason, of Reader; Mrs. Louella Cozart, of Proctor, and Mrs. Charles Burgess of Reader, besides a host of more distant relatives and many friends who deeply regret his passing.
