OBITUARY:
Mabel Conley Evans, 87, of Route 1 Washington, died Wednesday [9 Sep 1992] at the Worthington Manor Care Center, Parkersburg, WV.
Mrs. Evans was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital and was a member of the First Assembly of God and the Wood County Senior Citizens.
She was born in Roane County, WV, daughter of the late Fletcher and Victoria Bonnett Henthorne.
She is survived by five sons, Ira Conley of Ocala, FL, Melvin Conley of Parkersburg, Ralph Conley of Maryland, Robert Conley of Lancaster, Ohio and Gene Conley of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Waunetta Scherich of Charlotte, NC and Darlene Roach of Washington; 26 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Conley, in 1980; two daughters; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, at First Assembly of God, Marrtown, with Pastor Marvin Dennis and the Reverend Ira Conley officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg, WV.
Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Friday, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, and at the church one hour prior to services.
