MARRIAGE: Henthorn - Piatt
A wedding quiet, but impressive in its simplicity was solemnized Tuesday noon at the hotel parlor of the Squire's office where Miss Mary P. Piatt became the bride of Laurence E. Henthorn, Justice of the Peace W.A. Cronin officiating at the exchange of the marriage vows.

Mr. Henthorne (sic) is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Henthorne (sic) of New Matamoras R. 4, while Miss Piatt is the attractive young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Piatt of Graysville R. 1. Both are splendid young people, well and favorably known in their respective communities, where a wide circle of friends are offering congratulations and best wishes to the young couple who are starting married life with every prospect of a pleasant voyage.

OBITUARY: Lawrence E. Henthorn Dies
Lawrence E. Henthorn, 81, of 840 Basswood Avenue, Canal Fulton, [OH], formerly of Noble County died Dec. 30, 1994 at his home. He was born Jan. 8, 1913, in Monroe County, a son of the late Robert J. Henthorn and Sarah Elizabeth Cline Henthorn.

He was a retired employee of B.F. Goodrich Rubber Co., Akron and was associated with the Nazarene Church, Canal Fulton.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Piatt Henthorn, Canal Fulton; one daughter, Mrs. Lemuel (Betty) Kindall, Canal Fulton; two sisters, Ava Travis, New Matamoras, Dorothy Pryor of Marietta; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna and Inez.

Friends were received Jan. 2 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield where services were held Jan. 3 with the Rev. Don Gainer, Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Graysville, [OH].
