Henry Henthorn of Rinards Mill, died 14 Feb 1910, buried Rinards Mill cemetery. born 7 Sep 1842 at Monroe Co., OH. He married Eliza J. Eddy of Antioch on 14 Jan 1863 and they had 10 children, 2 died previously. The 8 survivors are: Mrs L.D. Eaton of Graysville, Tillie Henthorn of Brownsville, Mrs. Archie Harom of Alexandria, OH, Mrs. Ira Horne of Toronto, OH, Charles of Matamoras, Robert of Rinards Mills, James of Lewisville, George of Rinards Mills, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Problem: The obit gives the marriage date as 14 Jan 1863 while another source gave the date as 26 Nov 1863 and the "Family Record of Henry Henthorn" listed 1861.

Henthorn Reunion Held at Wolf Run State Park

The annual reunion of the families of the late Henry and Eliza Henthorn was held at the Wolf Run State Park on Sunday, June 30th, [1974].

At noon a delicious dinner was enjoyed and the afternoon was spent visiting, taking pictures, and playing games.

Those attending were:
ASHLAND - Mr. and Mrs. Ira Henthorn; Mrs. Rhea Henthorn and daughter Lois.
COLUMBUS - Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Travis and Chris.
CANAL FULTON - Mr. and Mrs. Lem Kindall, Joyce, Rhonda and David Kindall; Christy and Stephie Markus.
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ross.
AKRON - Tim Ross and Tom Schumaker.
LOUISVILLE - Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Travis and Melissa; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Travis; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stach and Todd.

Since the last reunion, three marriages, four births, and two deaths were reported.
Next year the reunion will be held at Dillon Dam Park near Zanesville, Ohio on the last Sunday in June. The officers are: Mrs. Ira Henthorn, President; Mrs. Blake Pryor, Sr., Vice President; and Mrs. Roy Travis, Secretary.

Henthorn Reunion Held at Dillon Dam

The relatives of the late Henry and Eliza Henthorn held their tenth annual reunion Sunday, June 29, 1975 at the Dillion Dam Picnic grounds, [near Zanesville, OH].

All enjoyed a picnic lunch at noon after which a meeting was called to order by the president, Dorothy Henthorn, minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary.

Officers were elected for the next year: President, Ivan Harmon, Vice President, Dorothy Henthorn, Secretary and Treasurer, Pamela Stack.

The reunion will be held next year at Shoenbraun Park near New Philadelphia on Sunday, June 27.

The award for the oldest person present was given to Mamie Richards. The award for the youngest present was given to Eric Travis and the award for the ones driving the farthest to attend was given to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pierson. In the afternoon games were played, pictures were taken and all visited, having a good time.
