DEATH: The middle initial, "M," was obtained from line 69 of the Tyler County, WV death records.
OBITUARY: John M. Henthorn, born 26 May 1838 in Monroe Co., OH, died 16 Apr 1909, 79 years, 10 months, 20 days. He married Lidia A. Kent when 20 years old. They had 12 children, 4 sons and 3 daughters survive. Five children and his wife died previously. He spent all of his life in Monroe Co. except 1 year (11 years ?) in Tyler Co., WV. 2 brothers, and 7 children and 4 grandchildren. He was buried in West Union Cemetery.
