Son of Rebecca Kerns and Conrad Fair. Married to Louisa Rogers on 22 May 1862 in Wetzel Co, WV. Died at 95 years 6 months 3 days.

BIOGRAPHY:
The Fair family lived at Red Mills where Mr Fair later became owner and operator of the general store and the Red Mills which for thirty years was a prosperous center of activity. During that period, he served as postmaster and for twelve years was county commissioner. He was a member of the county court at the time the new courthouse was erected in 1900.

OBITUARY: ABSALOM TITUS FAIR
Absalom Titus Fair, 95 years old, passed away at his home in New Martinsville, W.Va., on Nov. 7, 1938.
Mr. Fair was one of the most prominent businessmen in Wetzel County.
He was born near Glen Easton, Marshall Co, W.Va., on May 8, 1848, a son of Conrad and Rebecca Kernes Fair.
He was united in marriage to Louise Rogers [22 May 1862 in Wetzel Co., WV] and to their union four sons were born: Joseph Fair, Reader, W.Va.; William Fair, dec’d.; Conrad O. Fair, New Martinsville; and Friend Fair, Buffalo, NY.
Mrs. Fair died in 1921.
Two half-brothers, David A. Fair of Adaline, W.Va. and Grant Fair of Bethany, W.Va., also survive, along with 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Interment was in Williams Cemetery in New Martinsville.
