OBITUARY: Parkersburg Methodist Minister Dead at Age 73
The Rev. Vernon F. Cale, 73, of Route 3, Box 5, Parkersburg, [WV], died Tuesday afternoon [10 Nov 1987]  in the Coronary Care Unit of Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born [14 Jan 1914] in Parkersburg [WV], a son of the late James Cameron and Minnie Bell Yoho Cale.  He was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.  He was an ordained United Methodist Minister of the West Virginia Conference serving in Parkersburg, Huntington, W.Va., Romney, W.Va., Buckhannon, W.Va., and Fairmont, W.Va. districts.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna L. Wigal Cale; two daughters, Patricia G. Benson of Parkersburg and Phyllis R. Johnson of Barbourville, W.Va.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Flesher of Parkersburg and Delores Richards of Washington, W.Va.

Service of Celebration will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lejuene Lewis and the Rev. Lehman Channel officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen South Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Kimes Funeral Home from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. today and at the church one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Don Wolfe, Jamie Wolfe, Hubert Custer, Paul Stephens, Wayne Williamson and Warren Joy.
