Yoho, George Edward L.

Yoho, George Edward L., 70, of Walnut Avenue, Moundsville, WV, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, August 6, 2009.

He was born July 8, 1939, in Moundsville, the son of the late, Jake Yoho and Alice Olive Long Yoho Daniels.

He was an Army National Guard Veteran; a retired employee from the Moundsville Water Treatment Plant having worked for 32 years, a Mormon by faith, and a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona Ellen Lilley, and an infant sister, Naomi Helen Yoho.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Alta "Mae" Blake Yoho; two children, Ed, Sr. (Darlene) Yoho, and Brenda (Wayne) Olnick; a grandson, Sgt. Edward L. Jr. (Trisha) Yoho; two great-grandsons, Bryce and Eddie, III; a brother, R. Sidney Yoho; three sisters, Dora Burkey, Alice (John) Gump, and Aurora "Fern" (Lloyd) Lilley; brother-in-law, Paul Lilley; several nieces and nephews; many friends; and his little dog, "Buddy."

Family will receive friends Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville where funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. with Elder Michael Skrzyneki officiating.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
