Madeline Elizabeth Swann, 77, Cadiz, [OH] died Friday, March 30, 2001 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born Feb. 2, 1924 in New Athens, a daughter of the late Ernest Yoho and Bessie Thornton Yoho. She was a retired cook for the former R&F Coal Company, Cadiz, a member of East Warren Street Church of Christ, Cadiz, a member of Cadiz Business and Professional Women's Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerome, Jim and Friend Yoho; two sisters, Lucy Matthews and Joan Cresta. Surviving are her husband, Earl Swann whom she married on May 25, 1946; two sons, Robert "Bob" Swann of Cadiz and David Swann of New Athens; a daughter, Donna Turley of Uniontown,; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Ed Yoho of Cadiz, two sisters, Bea Walters of Cadiz and Edna Mae Donley of LaMacia, Calif.
Friends will be received today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, 10 a.m. to noon at Clark Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, with Evangelist Howard Hallmark officiating. Burial follows in Cadiz Union Cemetery.
